I grew up in Western Montana. There, a love of flyfishing was instilled at a young age. I am now a professor in Central Pennsylvania, where I continue to fish
during the school year. I also live part-time in North Carolina, where my wife is a professor. I fish there too, as well as in Montana, where I'm fortunate
enough to share a cabin with my family. My research often takes me to Alberta, which is yet another location that I have come to know and love. One of the
college courses I teach centers around flyfishing. So, I've been able to wed fishing and work, through both teaching and research. Still, there's no
denying I have a serious "fishing problem."
