I grew up in Western Montana. There, a love of fly fishing was instilled at a young age. For the past several years, I worked in Central Pennsylvania. I fished a great deal there and continue to do so fairly often. I currently have a home in North Carolina, where I also fish as often as possible. Happily, I return to Montana regularly, where I'm fortunate enough to share a cabin with my family. This allows me to go on fishing my old "home waters" too. My academic research often takes me to Southern Alberta, which is another location that I have come to know and love and which is another favorite place of mine to fish. One of the college courses I have taught centers around fly fishing, and I have written and presented research related to fly fishing and religion in academic settings. So, I've been able to wed fishing and work, through both teaching and research. Still, there's no denying I have a serious "fishing problem."
